Sales competitions attract future sales stars

A sales student at the University of Portsmouth has been crowned winner of the 2018 European Sales Competition in Paris. Final-year student George Nodwell is now seen as the best and toughest negotiator among the 56 competitors from 21 European universities and Texas State University, USA.
Nodwell told the Journal, which was one of the event sponsors: “It’s been an amazing experience, I’ve learnt so much and I am delighted to be the champion.”
He triumphed after negotiating a high-level sales meeting to secure a global sales deal for Salesforce. The six industry buyers who acted as judges commented on how well the Portsmouth students performed. All four secured interviews with global companies and several sponsors for possible jobs after graduating.
