Happy birthday KAM Club!

28th April 2016 |   Nick de Cent

Cranfield School of Management’s KAM Club is 20 years old. Where is key account management headed over the next 20?

Economic, technology and consumer trends were all on the agenda as key account managers, academics and speakers gathered to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Key Account Management Best Practice Club at the Cranfield School of Management, 16-17 March.

Participants from companies such as Capita, Pfizer, Intel and PWC joined a cast of well-known sales and marketing academics – including Professor Malcolm McDonald, Professor Lynette Ryals, Dr Beth Rogers and Dr Javier Marcos – under the watchful eye of facilitator Mark Davies for two days of high-level insight and debate around the “Future of KAM”.

On the opening morning delegates were welcomed by Professor Michael Bourlakis, Director, Demand Chain Management at Cranfield School of Management and treated to Dr John Glen’s overview of the UK’s “Goldilocks economy” (neither too hot nor too cold).
