Sir Clive Woodward: “DNA of champions”

The National Sales Conference, which is supported by the Journal, has broken previous records for attendance, exhibitor numbers and sponsorship, organisers Lincoln West claim. This year’s event took place at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena on 30 November.

Now in its fourth year, the conference saw some 600 delegates attend a packed programme of presentations including a keynote by celebrity sports coach Sir Clive Woodward. There was a plethora of additional speakers, including Julie Holmes, author Allan Pease, futurist Graeme Codrington, and communications expert Andy Bounds.

Sir Clive explored the “DNA of champions” with the message that, in business as in sport, attitude is everything. With the right mindset, sales professionals can train themselves and their teams to overcome obstacles and pressure to achieve outstanding performance.

The Sales Learning & Development Conference, which was supported by the Association of Professional Sales, ran alongside the NSC.

Next year’s conference will be held on the 29 November at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry. Early bird rate is £195+ VAT (a saving of 300). www.nsconference.co.uk
