Five key questions a CEO should ask a potential new CRO before hiring
- What is your experience of achieving sustained success in similar sales environments (market maturity, go-to-market model, deal size and complexity, etc) and what were the most important things you did to achieve that success?
- How will you assess whether the current sales organisation is appropriately structured and organised to achieve our business objectives?
- How will you assess whether we currently have the right people in the right positions across the sales organisation? If not, how will you address this?
- What, in your experience, are the most important elements of a successful and effective sales plan? Other than revenue generated, what are the most important success metrics?
- What, in your opinion, are the most important qualities of a front-line sales manager, and what have you done in previous roles to maximise their success?
